Precision CNC Parts Manufacturing for Agricultural Machinery and Spare Parts

Agricultural machinery is exposed to heavy wear under harsh operating conditions such as soil, stones and moisture. Memsa Havacılık offers CNC machining solutions for agricultural machinery spare parts and potato harvester spare parts based on a sample or technical drawing.

Wear Parts in Potato Harvesters

A second-hand listing for potato harvesters names shares (blades), belt sprockets, rollers and the elevator chain as typical wear parts and notes that they are designed to be easily replaceable. The toothed-belt structure of sieve belts and quick-change drive sprockets also appear in manufacturer literature.

Depending on the machine model, the parts in these groups that are suitable for machining, such as sprockets, rollers, bushings, shafts and bearing housings, can be produced from a sample or technical drawing. Which method is used to produce a given part (machining, casting, forging) is evaluated part by part.

APPLICATIONS

  • Potato harvester spare parts
  • Chain sprockets and gear parts
  • Roller and drum parts
  • Bushings, shafts and bearing housings
  • Body and connection parts
  • Custom spare parts

02CAPABILITIES

Our Production Approach for This Industry

01

Parts from Samples

Measurement and modeling support for parts without drawings.

02

Sprockets, Rollers, Bushings, Shafts

Machining of worn rotating and connection parts.

03

One-Off and Series Production

A flexible production plan, from urgent spare parts to recurring batches.

04

Steel Machining

Machining of high-strength materials such as alloy and structural steels.

05

Durability-Focused Planning

Wear zones, operating conditions and material properties are taken into account in the production plan.

02

Spare Part Production from a Sample or Drawing

Older or discontinued machines may not have technical drawings. In this case, the drawing required for production can be prepared by measuring and 3D modeling the existing part (reverse engineering); the material type and heat treatment requirements are clarified with the customer.

Since wear zones and assembly dimensions are critical in spare parts, sharing the part in both its old and new condition, if possible, makes the process easier. Assembly dimensions and mating parts are also checked together.

03

Material and Durability Expectations

Agricultural machinery parts are generally produced from high-strength materials such as alloy or structural steels; processes such as surface hardening may be required in friction and wear zones. The right material and process are determined based on the part’s operating conditions and the material of the existing part.

Since time is critical in seasonal work, delivery expectations for spare parts should be discussed at the quotation stage. The option of prioritizing urgent jobs is evaluated separately.

04

Working on Series Spare Parts and Manufacturer Requests

Production is planned in different quantities, from urgent one-off spare parts to recurring part requests from machine manufacturers. For recurring parts, the CAM program and fixturing layout are kept so that production uses the same method.

Dimensional inspection of the parts is carried out according to the technical drawing or sample. Inspection reports are shared on request.

03MATERIALS

Materials We Machine

  • Alloy steels
  • Stainless steels
  • Engineering plastics (POM, PA, etc.)
  • Bronze and brass alloys

04FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Contact us with your technical drawing, material and quantity; we will get back to you with an answer specific to your project.

Can parts be produced from a sample?

Yes. The existing part can be measured and modeled, and a technical drawing can be prepared for production. Material and heat treatment requirements are clarified with the customer.

Depending on the machine model, parts suitable for machining such as sprockets, rollers, bushings, shafts and bearing housings are evaluated. The sample or drawing is reviewed to decide on the production method for the part.

For parts that require heat treatment, the process sequence and sourcing method are planned at the quotation stage.
